NVAS-3 emissions inspection cabinet
  • Cabinet: Cabinet Enclosure
  • Non-intrusive RPM sensor: RPM sensor
  • PC Desktop with keyboard and mouse: Desktop computer to run inspection software
  • Color monitor: Minimum 19” color monitor
  • Digital Handheld Camera: Still camera used during inspection process to document vehicle information
  • Inspection Lane Camera: Video camera used to record inspections
  • Network Switch or Router: Internet connectivity
  • OBD-II Scan Tool: Reads vehicle onboard diagnostic data and reports information to the emissions analyzer software
  • Laser Printer: Print vehicle inspection reports
  • Bar Code Reader: Used to scan the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) of the vehicle being inspected
  • Biometric fingerprint scanner: Security device used to ensure the inspector is authorized to perform the inspection
  • Remote-control device: Remote control used to progress through the inspection process
  • Gas Analyzer - hydrocarbon (HC), carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen oxide (NO), and carbon dioxide (CO2): Vehicle exhaust analyzer
